wait, what? LOL....I would prefer either xvid or DVDR for a dvdrip, not SVCD

and ripping a dvd to xvid or dvd-r doesn't exactly take much time if you know what you're doing.

Exactly! And SVCD is quite easy as well.

I don't know if it's just me, but i think this looks like crap .. and it's also undersized (nuked) .. i'll just wait for a proper or a dvdr, whichever comes last :-P

Dont post too often but actually thought this was entertaining. 8/9/8.

btw dark 101:
vcs/svcds are burned in mode2 without error correction. So a 650mb(74 min) cd would have roughly 735mb and an 700mb(80 min) cd can hold over 800mb.

650 or 700 that is nitpicking. It is a dvdrip and it looks and sounds great. Especially for a free movie. I give it a 9.4/9.9/7.3

Oh and i for one hate when people come to an SVCD release board and bitch about it being svcd. No one cares if you want to wait for dvdr just what it looks like as it stands.

Very good looking release... great picture, and excellent sound. And I thought the movie was pretty enjoyable, too.

I never did see the telecine, so I can't compare it... but this one is "100% retail" like they said, so it's worth it if you want it.

hi, i need some help here. the first post says he would have prefered either xvid or dvd-r for this, every xvid i have seen/got is crap, it goes out of sync wen i move the mouse if watched on pc, if i put on standalone it is crap quality. am i getting nasty releases? or are xvid fans only watching on tiny moniters? i have always prefered svcd, its smooth and rarely do i get probs.but wanna know wot the fuss with xvid is- have i just been getting older releases with teething probs?
