Can anyone confirm what the bitrate is on the DTS soundtrack, for some reason PowerDVD isn't playing the renamed rar, so i have to use VLC, which dont tell me.
I already have the asian DVDR which had a nice 1536 DTS, but less than perfect pic.
Oh and this looks great so far, video and audio look spot on.
from sample, video seems a little bit grainy but I think thats how the movie is.. i cant remember.. which is weird considering I watched this 5 times :P

means nothing, there's at least 4 or 5 official "asian" discs. doubt there's any real reason to grab this if you've already got one of the better ones.
yes English is there in the Full .Iso (french ripped)
The English is MUCH better than that iffy one doing the rounds.
they done a real good job with the dubbing.
witch is a rare thing with moden Asian flix.
however i must recommend watching this (or any) Chinese films in Chinese.
but theres some people out there who would rarther miss these cool films just because they dont get on with subs.

yeah I totally agree. I used to not watch films because they had subs. They didnt really bother me.. and i didnt hate them.. i just didnt like them very much. But then my friend starting showing me some Japanese dvds (Versus, Ichi The Killer) and even though I wasnt paying attention to the subtitles, I thought they looked awesome, so I rented them out and watched them with subs and I thought they were awesome. So then I got Battle Royale out and that just fucking ruled ass, so now I'm obsessed with asian films and cant get enough of them! And I hate dubbing :P
If you like Asian films and more like Triad gangsta flims.

I personaly dont care if they do or not, but its good to break the nonbelevers out there into Asian films gently.
if top class films like these have been dubbed into english and it opens someones eyes to this whole new world of films.
then bring on the dubbing.
but please, keep the qualerty as good as this hero.

yeah, the spanish subs are kinda delayed, but i think it's the original dvd that has that problem...
anyway great movie, kinda wicked..and it's funny to watch it english dubbed, since mouth/voice dont match hehe
amazing figths, the colours, the scenarios...
Any murmurings about a patch yet? The offsync subs are killing me here, and I have no idea how to fix it myself, despite some research and effort. If anyone has a quick proceedure and the proper utilities, I'll gladly fix this myself, just so I can enjoy this properly.
I'm right there with you elfurbe. I'd glady fix the subs myself if I could figure out how to delay them by about .75 seconds or so. I can't seem to find out how to do it anywhere. If anyone can throw this poor dog a bone its greatly appreciated. Otherwise I'm gonna have to wait for another release of this as the delayed subs drive me crazy and I this movie deserves to be appreciated in its original dialogue..... Cry me a river I know
if you dont like the subs, just turn them off with the remote control on your DVD player, thats what i done. then u just have the movie, with no subs - cool eh
