ok guys....nest question.....do the problems ever end?

i have some dvds that have an original video bitrate of 9800 and an audio of 448.....they have been shrunk down to 2.4 GB with dvdshrink...left in vob format..and i would like to add menus....i cant work on em in tmpgenc dvd author because the combined bitrates are too high(9.848 MB max)...

these are studio releases and shouldnt have a problem in anybodys dvd players

Use DVD Shrink and take the video bt down to say 8000 for good measure,don't burn it but re-author it and make the files.The author it in Nero or whatever and it should be able to burn it.

I haven't actually run into this problem but I think it would be possible for you to run the vob files through dvdpatcher and set the bitrate lower so that it would fool dvdauthor. After you were done, run the vob files through dvdpatcher again to restore the correct bitrate.

thanx for replying guys.....i didnt see any settings to lower the bitrate on dvd shrink......im using 3.2.....i wound up frameserving through vdub and ran it through a 1 pass vbr at 3000/6000 but it took 10 hrs to do...i let you know how it came out after i check it

i stiched em all together insted of leaving 3 files and it ran out of sync in the last (wouldve been) file........now i gotta do the whole shit again...
