what program can i use to adjust the tilit in a movie if the picture is slanted?

Put a book under one side of your TV!

There was an option in ffdshow to adjust angles/perspective, but last time I looked it was still experimental and resulted in most of the colour being lost.

i know this is an old one but i wanted to bump it up because i am interested in this too....i thought i read something somewhere about one of the vdub apps but i cant find it anymore...

VirtualDub has a rotate filter called rotate2, which will do the job, but you will of course have to re-encode the file. Don't use the original rotate, it only does 90 degree angles.

found it in vdub-mpeg2 1.5.....thanx pres..hope i never have to use it but i wish i knew about it before.........(sit in the middle asshole!!!!!!).........

does it throw off the borders?......ie..does it need to be cropped after rotating?

Yes, it will throw off the borders a little. Don't worry about cropping. You will usually never have to tilt it more than a few degrees, and since most movies are widescreen, you won't notice it anyway. Even with fullscreen, that part of the image will most likely be lost in the overscan of your TV anyway. Cropping could result in the aspect ratio going a bit off. Cropping = bad.
