converting avi to svcd

I tried to convert a avi to vcd file using cucusoft, after it converted to a mpg i burned it on nero using make a vcd option. when it was done it was blury. so my question is is it a good idea to convert avi to vcd because i am able to get the files faster but i want to watch them on my stand alone dvd player. I have to use vcd because I do not have a dvd burner?.

Bitter, miserable twat.

If you want to play on your DVD player, download SVCD.

I don't even know what Cucusoft is, but all the cool kids use TMPGenc or ProCoder for VCD.

In the long run, it might be easier to fork out $50 for a DIVX compatible DVD player instead, so you can watch the files in their original quality and not waste time re-encoding.

TMPGEnc and CCE for your SVCD needs ;D

but if u want a 1 click proggie...i suggest u use dvd2svcd...theres an option there where u can make the prog convert avi's into svcd's =)

WinAVI. Find a crack for it though www.freeserials.com or it leaves a symbol on your video. Simple one click sort of thing. but becuase your going from avi to svcd, if its a i disc (700MB) file, i'd suggest splitting over 3 svcd's to keep quality close, if its a 2 disc file, do the same, maybe down to 2 SVCD's per file though who wants to switch a disc for a movie 4-6 times. Honestly, try to dl the SVCD versions
