XVID audio problem.

Sorta a newbie question, but I've troubleshot this and cant figure it out, just wanted to see if anybody had the same problem...
So, everything I have on my computer i burn to DVDR, I use svcdtodvd to convert and nero to burn... When I download svcds or dvdrips I have no problems at all.. everything always comes out like it should... but when I convert xvids to dvd I always seem to have an audio problem.. like every few minutes, the sound will start, well not skipping, but i guess it's similar too, like it'll start like crackling, but it does it in different spots every time, because I can pause it and when I hit play again, it's gone, it does it at different points during the movie everytime i play it. So its never the same adventure. I'm thinking it might be the DVD player, it's a cheap apex, that I bought so I could play other region stuff, but I have the occasional video/audio issues with it even watching retail dvds.. I've played the actual burnt dvd in my computer and it plays without any issues.. think its my dvd player, or could it be something else? thanks..

Buy a Philips DVP-642 and forget about converting those XViDs. They'll play as is directly from the DVDR.

God Warrior.

come on we can do better than that. But anyway, so the problem (from what i gather) is with the player. Try using an eye cleaning disk. Also, if its an old apex, then you might consider getting a new one as that particular brand is the cheapest (quality) you can get. They tend to "wear out", which is simply the best i can put it. I have known many people with the same problem, all with apexs.

Talking

The player isn't even maybe 4-5 months old.. I'll go pickup a cleaner and see if that helps, I was thinking the same thing..

As far as the stabbing goes, I prefer a gun to a knife. I grew up in Compton, and I aspire to be a rap star.. oh wait, that's right, I'm white and live in the suburbs...

I'm off to best buy.

Welcome to what L.A. City people consider the Boonies

Philips DVD-642 is at Target or Walmart for less than $69.

Besides... Fry's (up in City or Industry) > *
