hi peeps. i have a problem with a file i downloaded recently. the file when extracted came out as an IMG file. ive tried to burn this file with nero and even tried putting it through dvd shrink but it didnt work. Any help on telling me how to get this file to disc, dont want to download anothe 4gb.

also is there any way to put a bin and cue file onto my computer instead of copying it to disc to watch the file. I have heard of daemon tools and alchol 120% but not sure if these would enable me to add two bin files together to put onto 1 dvd rather than 2 discs.

use dvddecryter to burn your img file. there is really no reason not to since its free. Doom9 has a link to it.

as far as watching movies within a bin/cue on your comp...youll have to mount em with either daemon tools or alcohol 120% then watch with a software dvd player. to put two together as you asked, you cant do it while they are cd images which is what a bin/cue set is. you can use vcdgear to extract the mpg file from the image then use tmpgenc's mpeg tools <file/mpeg tools.../merge and cut> to join the files. Or you can just use a program like dvdlab to make a dvd with the mpg files without joining em...you can make the dvd and link the files so that itll play back smoothly without having to start the second part. unless you have a dvd player that plays raw mpgs you will need to author a dvd to watch the movies on your standalone.

all that being said...you could have done a simple search and found all the info you needed. These exact questions have been answered many times, im sure.

question though will it work with games?

and i did search and couldnt make sense of most of the stuff so i asked a specific question and got a specific answer which has helped me out a lot quicker

I deleted the thread you created on this topic cos you're barking up the wrong tree and I noticed this post in here. Read on for my words of wisdom!!

What you're needing to do is MOUNT the images in some "virtual drive" software for the PC, that will save you the grief of burning them cos you can simply treat it as a burnt disk. Download an app called Daemon Tools (it's free) and you're sorted, it drops an icon next to your system clock that you can use to mount images and with the right plugin you can right-click>mount them instead
