before you start bitching, did you read the NFO?

quote:
You have probably seen the new release by TCF: The.Others.DVDRip.SVCD-TCF
This is the same source as our release. (The.Others.SVCD.DVD.SCREENER-TWCiSO) We gave that one the label 'DVD SCREENER', since the source (mastering quality) is not comparable IN ANY WAY to an USA RETAIL. This way any group has the opportunity to release a rip of the USA RETAIL in a few months. (which will be in no doubt MUCH better qual) We thought other groups would follow the same direction, but obviously they didn't and cared only about quantity.

So with this nfo we would like to point out that our rip is the same quality and same source as the TCF SVCD DVDrip. In others words, the TCF SVCD DVDrip should be nuked as DUPE and people should wait for the (much) better USA RETAIL.

Here are a few points which proof that this 'retail' lacks MUCH compared to an usa one:
- The sound is clipping in several scenes.
- The picture is blurred.
- The colors are dull
- The whole dvd is NTSC INTERLACED.

Regards,

//TWC TEAM

If this is true then wouldn't this mean that TWC mislabeled (isn't that a nuke?) and tried to pass it off as an DVD Screener to be elite? I assumed that if the dvd is ntsc interlaced then maybe both groups used a deinterlace filter which will cause blur'ed images. Anyways, I burned both versions and they look similar but the TCF version doesn't play badly on it like the TWCiSO version. Thanks for the coaster TWCiSO.

The TWCiso version was identical to the TCF version. I tried both on my Pioneer dvd players and both play with the Interlaced issues. My buddy has an apex that played it fine but to me..the TCF version is a dupe because it has the same issues the TWC version has. I say props to TWC for getting this out FIRST even though it wont play right in certain dvd players. It would be NICE if someone would release a version that works 100%. Im willing to wait until a Retail/US dvd rip shows up.
