I am using the NeroVision Express program that came with my sony dvd-rw that I just bought...Any way, I have decrypted and shrank a dvd that I want to put on disc. This is what I do now:

-I open up Nero
-Click Make your own dvd movie
-Click Add files
-Add the 7 (I believe) files that were made from dvd shrink
-It ask if I want to merge them
-I say yes
-It starts to anlayize and import files
-I get an error at 40% saying "Disc is full. Error importing video segmant. File cannot be inserted."

I have tried this method with 2 different dvd movies and get the same error.

I have inserted several blank disc in and get the same message, and at the bottom of the screen where it tells you the amount of room you have left it says I have used: 0.00GB out of 4.38GB. I thought it was supposed to be 4.7GB?

I am about to install Alcohol 102% and try that out, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any insight on Nero..

Fucking hell, you're making things hard for yourself

1. Install DVD Decrypter
2. Rip the DVD with DVD Shrink. Set DVDShrink to rip to ISO and burn with DVD Decrypter
3. Sit back, jerk off

Well I got my problem worked out, but I thought if you rip it to ISO then not all dvd players could play it.

I didn't think my process was to hard, takes forever though.

Decrypt with DVD Decrypter
Shrink with DVD Shrink
Burn with Nero

I've never heard that before... The biggest factors affecting playback are shit DVDRs and shit DVD players. You don't have to decrypt the vast majority of DVD's with DVD decrypter first, DVD Shrink can handle *most* on it's own. DVD Decrypter is best for writing images though (IMHO)

Well I have a friend with a shit dvd player, but it has played burned movies before. I was just trying to make this a universal disc that could be played on any dvd player. Nero is becomming a pain in the ass quick though. I got it to the part where it starts to burn and then it gets to about the end and ejects the DVD and tells me there was an error. I can't recall the error right now, but anyone have any ideas?

in shrink go to edit>preferences> i/o ,and enable burning with nero, you can modify burn speed from there,its like neversoft said your making it hard on yourself

Fuck Nero in it's palsied arse, use DVD Decrypter - DVDShrink is just as happy (if not happier) burning with that... Just change it in the drop-down box when you're shrinking a disk.

if you used shrink it should of left you with a VIDEO_TS folder why not select burn image to disc using nero then select dvd video files then add VIDEO_TS folder then burn all done
