but its so damn cheap and plays EVERYTHING!

/me bought one and took it back the next day... Sure it opens a VCD, but when it shows every OTHER second.... gets kinda annoying, i currently have a samsung one for a 120 bucks that plays EVERYTHING and supports 5.1... works like a charm!

One time, my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. I had this player for about 3 months then i upgraded to the 5131 which i found to be a much better player......... sound and picture seemed improved and i have yet to find disk that my 5131 does not play

The good thing about the Apex 1500 is that if your serial # begins with an A, B, C, D you can flash the ROM chip inside and make it macrovision and region free. If the serial # begins with an S you can't do it .. The 5131 gave me a nice picture but broke in 3 weeks ...
Characteristically, Apex players have VG electronics but the mechanical integrity is a little below average

roomate and i are gettin an hdtv... [u know.. w/ drug sales being high and all ].. but we need a progressive scan player that supports vcd/svcd... anyone know of a good one?..
