Problem fixing aspect ratio

I'm having problems fixing the aspect ratio for the SVCD version of Crash. I extracted the mpg from the bin/cue using vcdgear and then ran it through DVDPatcher to change the aspect ratio to 16:9. When opening the mpg in WMP, it appears to be in 16:9 but when I try burning it to cd and play it on my standalone, it still is in the old AR. What am I doing wrong? I tried burning it with both VCDEasy and BurnAtOnce to no avail.

did you patch all frames or just the first? could be that your player needs them all patched.

The settings that I used on DVDPatcher were:
Bitrate: 3.5
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Patch: Entire File
Horizontal Size: 480
Vertical Size: 480
Frame Rate: 29.97

play it on the pc after you patch it. if it's right, it's a problem with your dvd player.
