winrar and then smartpar, or something. smartpar, that's the one, ain't it?

well, winrar will split the thing into 15mb chunks. then you make the par-set.

what you want is for someone to hold your hand, it seems to me.

it's SO self explanatory, and both progs have online help.

The Life Aquatic

its assume that asking here is your last resort...

always search google first....

anywayz...

load up smartpar..

go to "file"

then "new parity set"

highlight all your rar files (assuming you want to make pars for a whole cd which is in rar files)

thats all you do..highlight all your rar files..and make sure all the boxes of your highlighted files are checked (recoverable)...then thats it..it will make the pars...

mate, as much as this is the newbies section, it's generally expected that you show some initiative. have you even TRIED to create a rarset and make some pars from them?

you asked your question, then i answered it. you replied telling me you already knew that bit. why not say that in your original question?

If i'm pointing out the obvious, it's because there's nothing more to explain. you haven't said exactly what software you're using (fsraid? smartpar? winace? winrar?) so i can't explain any more until you tell me what you're wanting to use.

even then, it's a piece of piss, and the amount of time you've spent here waiting for replies could have been spent working it out for yourself (or even *SHOCK!* googling it!) but nope, you sat on your arse, waiting for us to reply. That's lazy, and my comment about you wanting your hand held stands.

If you want to give me a bit more info (what have you tried? what went wrong? what progs do you have? what EXACTLY do you want to do?) then i'll help you.

Until then, i'll point out the obvious, because you're not doing much to make ME think it's obvious to YOU.
