crackling noises.

I apologize if this has been asked before - but i'd like to get this done ASAP so my dad can watch this for his birthday.

Anyways on to the question - i recently downloaded a certain movie that when i watch in windows media player - seems to have crackling noises - but then when i watch it in media player classic - the crackling noises are gone. i decided to burn it onto a cd-r and try it out on the dvd player - plays fine - but the crackling noises are still there. I used nero to burn the cds and am confused to why this is happening.

Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Admin?

Sounds too weird to me... Are you sure you don't have Media Player Classic's EQ enabled and you're effectively "squelching" the crackling out?
