How to get a pic from dvd

I am needing to find out how to take a printable high quality still picture from a DVD. What program do I need and how?

kleptomaniac

the print screen key, comes with the keyboard so its pretty cheap and works on pretty much any O/S.

Alternatively it can be done within most media players - which ones are you using?

the print screen will not work if you have direct 3d accelaretion set. You have to turn it off under your display adapter options and media player options... otherwise as someone mentioned before you can use powerdvd or other retail dvd player to do so.

Havent tried on vob files but you can use virtualdub on most video files to export jpg's from any frame sets.

Admin?

Not that I update the site often but when I DO take screenshots for new releases I use VLC... Got it so I can just keep smacking F11 to dump full-res .jpg's out.
