Sideways *XViD* - DVDRIP - KJS

Very nice rls from KJS. perfect sums it up.

Video - crystal clear, no pixellation. What you expect from a DVDrip.

Audio - no problems here either.

Movie - a quaint little story about a rather uninteresting man on a week long vacation in wine country CA. A few modest and suttle jokes hidden within the layers of this story but is definately an acquired taste

This was 2 CD's, main VCDQuality page indicates 1 CD.

Why a slow-motion movie like this gets 2 CD's and a medium length action-packed movie like xXx 2: State Of The Union and The Pacifier get 1CD I will never understand.

Sideways is a very compressible movie btw. A higher resolution could've been used for sure, with very little impact on the AR error etc.

I'd like to think it was because XXX and Pacifier were complete shitfests, whilst Sideways was a pretty good film.

Nah, prolly wrong there. KJS prolly just liked this movie. It was dull and humourless IMHO

Oh, recent movie that was "great", so it got 2 CD's - House of Wax. Yay!

Really, it's just up to the group. They like the movie = they make it 2 CD's and/or give reasons why they made it that way. For instance when the movie is just verging on 104 minutes their reasons come up

ps - I hope not too many people have no opinion of their own and just take IMDB as law..

Just thought I'd post because I remembered something -- KJS's release has glitches. Should be propered on that basis because in my opinion. BTW, without Follow ITU-R BT .601 ticked, and ok cropping, these are ok resolutions (PAL source):

656x352 (-0.7%)
624x336 (-0.3%)
592x320 (0.1%)

The movie itself did grow on me a little bit... so yeah, it's alright I guess.
