Really not a bad flick, and I'm not a 50 Cent fan. I used to be b/c his first album was great but after that he's lost a lot of talent imo.
I like all music, btw, so no I am not biased towards a movie like this because I still like 50 Cent somewhat. The *ONLY* genre of music I do not listen to is country. Yuck.
Great rip. Very good. Picture was great, superb, DD5.1 what more could you ask for?
9.5-10 --> Video
10 --> Audio
7.0 --> Movie
The movie is NOT that bad. It's retarded we have so many juvenile and immature people who vote on IMDB to get it into the bottom 250. What a joke. I bet 90% of the voters who voted it a 1 never even watched it. It is not a bad film but at the same time it's not great. I've seen more worse films this year than this film than I have better films than this. It's really not bad -- Give it a shot, even you who don't like rap and/or 50-Cent.
Me rating it a 7.0 shows how it's no "Hustle & Flow" or "8 Mile" but it's pretty good. Kinda the same story in a rough sort of way - a person trying to make it out of the 'ghetto' by getting a record deal.
Out of Hustle & Flow, 8 Mile, and this, I rated them as follows in terms of entertainment value:
Hustle & Flow: 9.25
8 Mile: 8.5
Get Rich or Die Tryin: 7.0
Had this film came out and been made when his first album came out, by the same name of course, it would have been rated much higher on IMDB (but again, by a lot of people who probably never saw it).
Great rip. Decent flick. I loved the video and that's saying a lot for an "MTV" film - they tend to have crap video for some reason. I know it's not their fault but it's just something I've noticed with a lot of "MTV" films (whether it's Hustle & Flow, The Perfect Score, etc.)
Give it a shot.
