2 cd releases should ALWAYS be encouraged because they will have AC3 5.1 audio. The rules are retarded and outdated, and should have been changed back when xvid first started becoming more popular than svcd. Instead were still getting shitty encodes of most movies that are released.
Yeah, edited my above post. I got the TDX version wrong. This is the right one:
code:PAL min = 100 mins/CD
FILM = 105 mins/CD
NTSC = 87 mins/CD
So the DoNE release is all kosher.
Not all 2CD releases will have AC3 btw. Extremely long ones will have MP3 audio to conteract the degradation of the Video. Anywho, there are other places to get quality releases other than the scene, and there's always the option of ripping the DVD once it's out to what you personally like -- quality-wise
I personally like the ac3 audio if it can be provided. I don't care about the 2 or 3 cd thing if the audio is good. I put them all on one dvd anyway and watch it in my divx player.
