it's nifty that they've done it but if you're that reliant on a pc you might as well just watch the flick on your pc ;/

Hopefully (and i'm sure soon enough) a mod chip or some other mod will come along and turn that beast into a real custom media center like the old xbox (it's what is keeping me from really buying the 360, until we get to that stage)

not quite true. You can play movie files, but they have to be converted from .avi, .mov, .mpeg first, it cant play native divx's (yet).

and apparently the picture quality is pretty shit.

Very true, converted latest simpsons last night, threw it on an SD card, and played it using the Wii.

Picture was shit and sync when to shit within the first 10 seconds.
