Quality stuff. Comes off looking just as good as an actual DVD Rip. No sound issues to complain of either.
Video: 9 - Looks good for the most part. The only issues are some odd color gradient transitions, some minor chroma blocks, and "lagging" pixels when the credits roll. Not sure how much of it is the encode versus the source, though. Like I said, looks like it could be from a retail DVD.
Audio: 9 - Crisp, clear, DVD-quality. Speaks more to the source than the group, I suppose, but it is still excellent audio. The only possible issue is that being from a Region 5 (PAL) source the movie has been sped up to meet the 25fps standard, so you may notice a very slight "chipmunking" effect. It's part of the source though, so it doesn't affect my rating.
Movie: 7 - The film is not a straight comedy, but rather an odd blend of Standup Comedy and John Grisham Thriller. The transition between the two is somewhat jarring at first, but it is handled farily well. More than anything the movie suffers from bad marketing, or rather mis-marketing. Once you get your head around that it's fairly enjoyable, but I think it would have been better as two separate films: one where Robin Williams runs for president and one where Laura Linney tries to stop a massive election fraud coverup without getting killed in the process. Oh yeah, the Walken factor makes this pretty cool too.
As for the R5 thing, I wholeheartedly support PUKKA in this. "R5" and "R5 Line" are much better tags than "TC" for these releases, because, let's face it, they aren't TeleCines. If you had to pick an existing tag it would by DVD SCR anyway, not TC. (Though the R5 Line releases don't really fit anywhere)
The only possible reason a group would have for not supporting this new tag is because they want to pass off R5 DVD sources as actual TCs and boost their rep. It's like inviting everyone over so you can cook them dinner, only you get the meal catered and don't tell anybody. It's plagarism, (if such a thing exists in the scene) taking someone else's work and not giving them credit. That's the one bit of honor the scene has always had: you could say that they're all thieves and pirates, but at least they tell you who they stole from. (more or less)
