You're not refering to the filesizes are you ? not all dvd producers hit the gb file size some even reduce it around the layer breaks. to me that looks like a direct rip off a dvd to hdd.

heres a pic of a retail dvd i just stuck in the drive.

After the opening Sony intro, It goes to the previews, Which is all fried, Then goes to the selection of FS/WS (When the FS is stated to be removed, They didnt clean up the buttons).

Then it goes to the movie and so far after watching it, Looks damn good and no problems encountered so far.

Opening this in dvd-remake shows that the structure of the movie where the previews are, Is messed all up and trying to edit it causes the program to crash.

I still wonder why they just didnt remove the previews.

Does this release call for a proper? I believe so.

This might help?

Use an older version. I used 2.6 to remove the corrupt previews, studio logo and bts featurette. Then used the following guide to bypass the aspect ratio menu.

If you can't get an older version try this,

I managed to correct it by doing the following using DVDRemake Pro

1. Mount the Image
2. Open DVD Remake Pro and open Mounted DVD
3. Go To the PGC with the Aspect Ratio Choices and the delete the left button (Full Screen option)
4. Export the DVD

5. Open the folder with the Exported DVD
6. Replace VTS06_0, VTS06_1 and VTS07_0, VTS07_1 with renamed copies of the VTS05_0 and VTS05_1.
7. Open this Exported DVD into DVD Remake Pro. An error will occur, and when you check the log it informs you the VTS06 and VTS07 have been replaced with Blank VTS.
8. Now simply remove the 'LinktoProgram' in each of the Red PGCs on the left (cell commands).(Optional, but keeps it neat)

You should now be left with all VTS's on the left in black.
Simply Export this DVD.

When run it will open with the Sony Logo, and then go to the Aspect choices, but should only allow you to pick WS, then straight to Root Menu.

Sounds long winded and there may be an easier way, but it worked for me.

Cheers

Hi

If you trun off the "mini preview" in VOB-Blanker, it does not crash and you can out the bad VTS sets (06 and 07). Tidy up with DVDReMake: Result is 3.8Gig ISO that works.
