LazyTown (Or: the kid in the pink wig... would you?)
"LazyTown" is the TV show that's responsible for my 5-year old trying to backflip off his bed.
Featuring CG backgrounds, puppets (one of which looks suspiciously like Björk - AFAIK Iceland's only other contribution to the entertainment industry) and live actors, each episode attempts to educate kids that eating fruit and playing outside is good.
The actors comprise an annoyingly squeaky American girl with a pink wig, a former champion gymnast (who also writes, produces and owns the company) and the rubber-faced villian (known as the Icelandic Jim Carrey) who wants everyone to stay inside, eat sweets and play computer games.
When I first watched the show with my kid, I thought it looked like it was aimed at ADD sufferers, but it's actually quite entertaining (and has won awards, probably because of its "healthy" theme.) The two male actors wear tight-fitting suits that caused my wife to question why there was no "lunchbox" bulge visible.
Anyway, those of you with kids should check it out on CBeebies or Nick Jr. It's probably a good watch if you're on drugs, too.
