2 part movies

Hi all, when I get a movie which is in 2 parts, the 2nd part is nearly always visibly worse than the 1st part eg. higher contrast and sometimes a diagonal line like the screen is torn from top left to bottom right. Anyone know why this is and a possible fix?

i've never run into that issue. can you post a screenshot to get a better idea of what it looks like?

edit:: this would most likely get a better response from the encoding help/questions forum.
