Wii: Big Brain Academy, Wii Degree
Gameplay 8/10: Another game for Mums and people with friends folks. ok, so to the "hardcore" gamer this probably looks more like a chore than a game but if you're not a habitual button masher then you'll get a lot from this game. As entertaining as the DS original but now with multi-player goodness and the option of sending your scores to your friends so you can embarass them and their tiny cerebrum (Arthur, expect a trouncing of your scores any time soon... but I'm working nightshift so it may be a few days).
Anyway, shitloads of mini-games to tax tour brain, at least this feels like its more than random chance or your Wiimote-wiggling thats winning the rounds, this time you get awarded for not being a fuckwit... Which is great if you're a genious like myself
The multi-player mini games are particularly good but the games stands pretty well on its own as a single player game as well.
Graphics 4/10: At least as ugly as Warioware but they don't detract from the game. I mean, I can't see anywhere in the game where better graphics would improve the game. For example, the baloons with numbers on wouldn't look "more" like balloons if they were lightsourced and bump-mapped into submission, would they?
Sound 4/10: It has sound... This is all that I remember about it so suffice to say, it isn't memorable.
Overall: An excellent game, unless you feel the urge to drive, kill, shoot or erm, rescue Elfs in RPGs. If you like puzzles, puzzle games, brainteasers or simply enjoy "thinking" then this one is a winner.
