Gameplay 6/10: Well, Nintendo are certainly getting their moneys worth out of the fat little cunt and this game is another winner. The whole 2d/3d thing is is a quality innovation and some of the levels are quite devious. My only real criticism is the amount of cunting text in the game... And I'm not meaning text that is vital to your progress, just idle bullshit that the writers probably thought was witty and funny - these people probably also liked Sex in the City.

Graphics 6/10: I'm being generous here mainly because, although the graphics are "technically" pretty wank, they have a cool retro feel which fits the game perfectly and there's some nice moments when the level is "drawn" in at the start. No "wow" factor though.

Sound 4/10: More Mario jingles. Nothing wrong with it but, well, it's more Mario jingles!

Overall: Worth checking out and fairly addictive although there is FAR TOO MUCH "quirky" text in it (especially at the start) and sometimes you have no idea where you're supposed to be heading. Good game though.

I agree! The game would be a billion times better without all the rubbish text. The 2d/3d stuff is nice and in places it hits the greatness of Super Mario World, but then the level ends and you spend 5 miserable minutes scrolling through more dull "story"

That fucking text really stinks-up a gem of a game. Its still good but some of those text bits take 10 minutes even if all you're doing is whacking "next" - CUNTFUDDLERS!

The thing is with the Wii, it has the disk capacity for some (drum-roll please) FMV with speech!

Radical I know but if you must include that shit in a game, make it spoken and make it "skip-able" - sure you can speed the text speed up in Paper Mario but you cannot skip the entire scene. Spuzzgarglers!

(you're right about DS games too, I've turned many DS games off because the intro alone fucked me off to the point that I could have happily stabbed a handicapped child with the stylus just to alleviate the boredom)
