Unhappy DVD to Xvid or Divx Help

Hi
i got like 2000 dvd movie titles that i have ripped from video shop and also some downloaded and would like to convert them all to xvid or divx but i really want a good rip. coz i have tried a few progs and the film turns out pretty pixelated and i figure its because the prog is crap. i really dont want to redownload those titles again so if someone here can help me plz do coz i am really stuck and confused

What programs have you used ?

I could be wrong but if they appear pixelated everytime you could be adding to much compression, try making larger files.

Dr Divx will rip them vobs to a nice 1 or 2 cd if movie is over 105 minutes do as 2 cd's at 696mb as said above dvd to avi looks like shit if u compress to just 1 file with some 105+ minutes
