im trying to upgrade the firmware to a nec nd-3650a (POS model)

i went to http://www.necam.com/Optical/

no such device listed....yes i am sure this is the disc drive name...it shows up as this in device manager as well as nero and other apps...

i googled the device and only a few sites come up with the firmware and i dont trust them


what should i do?

Open the case and pull the drive and take the model and revision numbers from the label. Besides nuking it from orbit, its the only way to be sure.
