I don't see a reason why we don't do it here, I'll see if we can add a section.
Trespass: most of the rips that are DVD5 sized are 720P formatted from the original 1080P so there's quite a few pixels dropped so the bitrate can be lowered without major problems. I've got a BD disc concert playing at the moment thats running about 22mbit (crazy when you're used to dvd really!) and the 720P encodes tend to be in the region of 6-7mbit and lower audio format. They look good tho, I haven't had the chance to compare two side by side but they look better than a DVD does on my 50" RP/HD and thats what counts 1080P releases tend to always be DVD9 shaped.
