Justice - Cross (2007)

Saw Justice last year when I saw Daft Punk live. They were brilliant then and this album proves they are still brilliant now.

Awesome Frog-flavoured French 'discotech' through and through on every track. No wonder Daft Punk chose them as support, this album is bloody brilliant.

Stand out tracks (after my first complete listen):

D.A.N.C.E and New Jack.

Get this one asap and the latest Prefuse 73 album!

was pretty disappointed with this when it dropped. probably one of the most hyped albums of the year (as far as electro goes). everything good on the album had been out far ages on past eps (waters, phantom, let there be light, dance). only good 'new' material i liked was stress, but it's not on the same level as their old stuff. justice seems to be losing their touch imo, even their new mixes (klaxons, justin timberlake) are just plain boring. and their 'live' (pressing buttons/turning knobs in ableton is not live...) set was pretty bland when i saw them in t.o. these guys entertain much better when they dj.
i just don't think electro/house/dance acts ever live up to their names when they try to pull off a full length. genre is a singles market, not an album market.
it's nice to see electro house gaining in popularity now though. no more shitty music in clubs. this genre is completely changing night life culture.

nice call Mystic. Never really got into the style.. always been more metal orientated myself, and lost the time to listen about as the kids grew up, (although a fan of Daft Punk). Listening to it now, and will be going in the car tomorrow. Would appreciate any advice on other similar artists anyone might care to recommend.

As for the Justice, I really liked, esp Phantom and Waters Of Nazareth, although the latter blew all my car speakers when it started up, which was a real fucker...
