xbox 360 cooler

Anybody got one? Do they work?

My 360 has started to beep then freeze, no red lights so far.
I tried microsoft suggestions eg clearing cache, trying without HD etc but it is still happening.

It's just over a year old so i'm thinking it's probably going to curl up and die soon but maybe a cooler might work?

AWRITE FANNY BAWS ?

i have a laptop cooler.under mine. You know the ones with 3 fans and the blue lights. It plugs into the usb port at the back and it was only £7 on ebay.
The coolers i think you are talking about are the ones that plug in the back.
The first ones were dodgy but the new ones are fine.
The bleeps and freezes means it will probably last another week and then you will have that rrod you so desire.
Well its what happened to me anyway.

I have done the towel trick although i know i shoudlnt have but it will do hopefully until I get this x-clamp fix done.I am going to attempt it myself when i get the time.Won't be until next week or something though.

I also read somewhere that playing 720p can cause freezing so you could try and lower it to 480p.
Another thing was to get that power brick off the floor(dangle it in the air or something) and make sure the plug from the power brick is using a socket all on its own and not in an adapter,or one of them power surge adapters.(Something to do with clean power)
I got really fed up looking for reasons for game freezes to be honest. It could even be a faulty game save according to some.
