Is there an easy way to use bbc iplayer abroad?

It checks to see if you are in the UK, the same is happening with some radio stations.

google a proxy, find one in the uk. apply the ip and the port to your browser, firefox, is easiest

works with any site you need to be in a certain country to access.. just look for one in that country

Once you've found a UK proxy server, you need to go to...

Internet Explorer
Tools, Internet options, Connections tab and then choose LAN settings. Where it says "proxy server", you tick the box and then enter the IP address and port of the UK proxy server you found. Proxy servers usually receive web traffic on TCP port 3128, TCP 80 or TCP 8080.

Firefox
Tools, options, advanced, network tab and then choose settings (for connection). Select manual proxy connection and enter the details in the HTTP section and tick the box to use the proxy server for all protocols.

I'm kind of halfway there, found some uk proxies but they were far too slow.
Do they need to be anonymous?
Where would i find some good ones?
I've been at this for a couple of hours now.

youll have to trawl through thousands befoer you find a fast one that is free aswell. if you want a fast one youll have to pay, but i never payed for one so i wouldnt really have much advice on that front

I can get proxies to work in IE but not Firefox, i thought it would be other way around.
Any ideas?
