Admin?

You need either a specific LG drive in your PC, or a homebrew-enabled Wii... Then you either rip with the LG drive or dump to SD card using the Wii... And then you'll need the Wii chipping or you can wait until the soft mod is more stable (although it will most likely only ever run at 3x drive speed and not 6x and not all games work with it)

Admin?

I think you're talking about a Wii-clip which is a doohickey that clips to the drive chip and works as a bridge between that and several different mod chips... Two warnings though, there's lots of fake Wii-clips out there and not ALL Wii's can take em (some have pins cut on chips etc). GBATemp.net has plenty of advice and somewhere out there, there's a database of Wii serials and their "predicted" corresponding drive chips etc so you buy the right thing.

Or make it easy on yourself and buy a pre-chipped drive and sell your old one
