Raid question

Ok my dell xps 710 is working fine and all drivers inc bios is up to date, i stuck in 2 new seagate barracuda's 500 gig hdd's in the unit.
Primary drive is also on raid 2x 250gig hdd's
Changed the settings in the bios to detect em and they both show up with there model numbers and size all in order

Now with right click on my computer and manage the drives do not show up, but the bios detects em and nothing comes up in my computer just the c: (both drives total 500 gig) and the dvd writter etc
Do i have to set up a new array as i haven't spent much time with raid b4 now

mod? no! asshole? yes!

not sure what the dell is using for bios, but the first step is the bios... make sure the channels are enabled, then check for an option similar to "enable raid setup" or "raid setup screen on boot"...

restart, and during the boot process you should get a "press f10 for raid configurations" or similar screen, setup your raid as mirror or stripe, reboot, then windows should see your unformatted drive in the computer management screen (right click my computer, manage, disk management)

Ok where to start lol
Ok i'm better of giving the setup of the drives 1st

Sata 0 250gig hdd
Sata 1 250 gig hdd (both these are combined on my computer and showing 500 gig)
Sata 2 Dvd rom
Sata 3 Dvd writer
Sata 4 (500 gig 7210,10 missing drive)
Sata 5 500 gig 7210.11

Tried these in stripe and mirror and no joy, finally i turned the raid off in bios and 1 of the drives is now showing up in my computer, it's 1 i have a few things on and didn't bother reformatting, and that works great.
Now as for the other drive i also removed that from raid and is showing up in my device manager, but that particular drive still wont shop up on my computer.funny thing is they both showing up as scsi when i hit properties in device manager??, when i went across the tabs to volume in properties and tap populate it lists as saying not initialized, i tried to initialize it but it wont let me
I also tried my computer right click manage and there is a drive showing there with no letter and highlighter blue meaning unallocated (so help says) now i try to right click on that and the only thing that shows up is help nothing else.
It also says healthy and elsa configuration, i deleted the drive finally from device manager and rebooted and it showed back up no problem but still wont let me have the damn drive

Sorted it out
