Windows 7 7000 beta

Has anyone gotten a chance to try this out yet? I acquired my copy from Microsoft, lol.

I just got it up and running, and it's running rather good. It feels different, I don't know if I like the task bar cause I'm so used to 95/98/XP/Vista that'll take some time to get used to.

From what I understand it's a bit lighter on resources than Vista I haven't ran it long enough to make that comparison.

On the surface I like the themes, the desktop changes for the time of day or temperature or whatever, not really sure how it works yet. The widgets aren't as cumbersome like they were in Vista.

Like I said I just got it installed about 30 minutes ago, So if anyone has any thoughts post em here.

Heres some jpg's of some of the new features.

Theres one feature I absolutely love with Windows 7 as I've been using it exclusively for the past few days, The task bar. Vista had the samples when you hovered over your open item in the task bar which was nice but not very useful. Now those samples have focusing, you can move the cursor over the sample and bring it to the front without clicking on it just to sample it, so if you have mutiple windows open it doesn't show each folder you have open, you can quickly go back and forth to each folder this way, and your task bar doesn't get cluttered.

So far the best feature and it's useful. They totally redid Media Center but I haven't checked it out yet.

AWRITE FANNY BAWS ?

Wouldn't mind checking it out myself but recently just installed Tiny Vista and I can't be arsed at the moment.

I'll get round to it though but not just now.

Tiny Vista is pretty sweet by the way and I would recommend it.
I think there is a few versions out there but I am using the experience one.

Since last night I have found a few more problems. My brother tried that shitty Rhapsody service and boy was it shit, but I couldn't use the software with this build of WinBlows, I also needed to install my firmware update for my mp3 player and it wouldn't recognize it. So that sucked.

Mimzy

I often wonder if people who install the latest operating systems ever do any actual work with them?

All my video apps are embedded in WinXP. If I changed the OS I'd have to reinstall every single one, spend two years tweaking them back to how they were before and there's no guarantee some of them would even work at all.

So as much as I hate XP I'm stuck with it for the foreseeable future.

What's wrong with a nice dual boot system ?
When I first put Tiny Vista on my laptop I made a small partition of only 10gb with Paragon Patition manager.
I then rebooted with Tiny Vista in the drive and installed it to the new partition.
This gave me a nice dual boot system to see if I liked it.
I eventually reformatted the whole thing because I liked Tiny Vista so much.
