i keep getting random beeps from my speakers (like when a file is done unrarring)
ive not changed anything too recent (except installing an i-plate)
im using the same programs ect that i normally use
so please any suggestions on what may be causing them.

Have you changed windows theme recently? You could've assigned a sound to a windows alert that didn't have a sound associated in the past.
