hehe hi ;-)

might be one or the other.. Also, do dvd use the ntsc/pal teqnique? I dont think so, as you can crack pretty much any dvd player to play movies from all over the world. (region 1 region 2 ect ect)

suggestion from CraZy

Playstations are the same way,I bought a multi-gendered cable that just so happens to work on my DVD player and PSX and it plays PAL .
I bought it at my local K-mart ,bluelight special on isle 13 back in the day so I'm not sure where they sell them.

Try www.vcdhelper.com
look at the compatible dvd players section and look for a region hack.

Im not really sure what u mean by "ntsc/pal tecnique" but generally R1 movies are in NTSC, and R2/R4 are in PAL (i THINK r4 (australasia is pal, dont quote me) . Pal movies are higher res, and some versions run at a lower FPS than NTSC, roughly 4% faster (PAL50 (uk) rather than the standard euro PAL60)

If you live in US and have a Sony tv u have no probs, as these are MultiSync and will pretty much accept any signal you throw at them, wether it be NTSC or one of the various PAL signals, but a lot of tv's will only accept NTSC.

You guys think u have it bad not being able to play PAL films? in the UK to back up a NTSC disc u gotta buy an expensive Worldstandards VCR or a NTSC>PAL50 box, which again is a few hundred dollars ;(

So, viva PAL vcds
