Well some of these questions were answered, just waiting for my post to actually make it to the bored. But I will answer it again. I am not sure the type, if you let me know how to find out I will look it up. My standalone is a Samsung and it supports pretty much everything, I have watched avi's in it before with no problem. I just left the avi alone, and just tried to burn it to disc since I knew it should play in the player and didn't feel like waiting for it to convert. I have 8x Memorex DVD+R Media. I just set the burner to burn at MAX. The media is not scratched, it is close to being perfect, it comes out of the Memorex bin into the dvd try, burned, then straight into the dvd standalone player.
Now I have played AVI's in my dvd player before using this method with no problems at all. But these two movies continually skip through the whole movie and is impossible to watch. The video files them self on my computer work great.
Not to sure the problem, any help is appreciated.
