Whats the rush?

I never really understood impatient people.

Why would you want to watch a Cam, TS, TC, Screener or R5 when you can wait for a retail rip. Furthermore it doesnt really make a lot of sense to complain about the quality of these releases - unless you have nothing else to do.

Personally i have never wanted to watch a movie so bad that i couldnt wait.

TC's done properly are fine for some movies too. I like quality rips but I'm not a whore for the fine details. In movies with little or no cgi: TC's and R5's are fine. I agree with the OP in that if its a movie I am looking forward to seeing, I won't waste the experience by watching a sub standard rip though and I don't watch cams at all anymore.

Canis rufus atheist

Some of us have foolish family and friends that will actually go buy worse shit on the streets if they don't watch a slightly watchable cam or TS.

Most TCs, R5, and screeners are "perfect" in their eyes....

Who cares? The releases are there, sometimes desperation gets the best of us when we don't have time for the theater or simply wish to watch it again or impress some idiot or shut your fuckin' brat up.

Stay on topic also... can't believe cupid was the only well behaved member in this this thread.

illegal shit is always fun to do, you know its wrong but theres a small thrill in it anyway. getting a quick release movie which is awsome quality is kind of a thrill - not to mention all the money you save.

i liken it to people who pride themselves on cracked software,
vista ultimate (full retail) $440 AUD
nero 8 $100
bitdefender total security $100
ms office 2007 pro $650
adobe acrobat master collection 2008 $2500

and the list goes on...............
convertvtodvd
winrar
etc etc.........

all this shit fully activated and for free !!

I don't care how good a TS or screener is, I still prefer to wait for the retail. An example is the mVs screener of "There Will Be Blood" which was a superb demo for the movie but all that did was persuade me it was worth waiting for an even better version.

E.T. has been commented on before on here as the first pirate movie most ppl saw.
The quality was dreadful. 10 times worse than most cams nowadays, due to the fact it was on tape and a copy of a copy etc (dunno it might even of came from a cam)
I remember my father brought it home from work and we all gathered round to watch it in excitment.
We were actually going to watch something that was only out in the cinema in our own house on a VHS machine the size of a small car.
Nowadays there is no excitment, most ppl can download an xvid in 30 mins or quicker. They are usually perfectly watchable.
But maybe dvd's rips come along much quicker now from cinema release than in old days? (Dunno will have to check)
Maybe most movies are shite and we can wait for a DVD rip.
Maybe some of us go to the cinema to watch a good movie
So there you have it, I've nothing conclusive or sensible to say.

I did that in the beginning. But if I'm bored I go get it, if I can hear it see what happens, it's good enough.

I watch TS from time to time, if the quality is good, but CAMs I rarely watch, I have watched some CAMs with really good audio and video quality but they don't come out that often. I'm mostly into Screeners, R5s and Retails.

Then again, if you guys like quality so much, then you should wait for the HDrips.

I've never been able to cope with a CAM but back in the good old days of Centropy, Maven etc I could be persuaded to try the odd TS. Over the years though I've become a little spoilt and to a certain extent lost interest in seeing movies *now* so I'm happy to wait for a good rip, I've also "rediscovered" the cinema in the last couple of years... So in essence, movie piracy for me was a bit of a fad that I've grown out of, unless there's fuck all on TV

OMG NVERSOFT IS A MAVEN LOVER :P

Nah i feel u mate, they did some really good rips those groups, ORC also from time to time, but not always. They brought TS to another level. Still so long after u don't see many that compares.

i never had preference for any group, just quality... I plucked a couple of group names that I always equated with decent releases. I could've said FTF

I'm also inclined to wait for at least a R5 these days.

I would have occasionally watched a TS back when there were some decent ones still around but then it depended on how much I wanted to see the film.

Then again in those days we knew there was usually going to be a TC (TUN/ASTEROiDS) a couple of weeks later.

These days it's usually a CAM or bad TS shortly after the movie is released followed a couple of months later by a R5 so I tend to wait.

As LOLobo said above though, we don't always get to wait if others want to watch any old shit that comes out. I've heard nothing but sex and the bloody city for weeks now. Thank god the cams have both been fucked or I'd have had to sit through it already!

I guess it's not worth the risk to group members to bother making a high quality TS or TC these days when they know the R5's going to be out a few weeks later.

That, the much tighter security in cinemas, the harder to rip audio and the fact that serious punishments have been handed down the last few years is what's stopping us getting any decent early releases.

At least that's what I think.
