if i had a standalone that played ctp rlses out of synch i would happily watch this one. as is, i use windvd on my comp so i think i'll just stick with ctp since i had already grabbed it when this one came out.

Yes, we propered Centropy's Released. This is the second time CTP has beat us by minutes. With We Were Soldiers, everyone experience the typical CTP Problems, AUDIO DESYNCHS AND INCORRECT ASPECT RATIO among others. This Release although cammed in PAL, has been encoded in NTSC in a nice Wide Screen format. So if you want to see this movie without having to re-encode the whole damn thing, or waiting for the audio to catch up with the scene, then this is for you.

This was said By ftf and alll it is is a better version of Centercopys realse

CTP vs FTF

I just can't understand, how come FTF has the guts to release a PROPER for a CTP release..

True that.. my APex-AD-500 plyed the ctp release beautifully... no sync problems or anything..

as for the "aspect" big friggen deal.. so you see more than youre supposed to.

Cool release.. great time. and very very watchable

better?

Is this better than ctp's release? no. FTF releases have improved a great deal, i'll say that much, but releasing a 'proper' of a centropy telecine is a joke. Nothing about ctp's release warrants a proper. aspect ratio was fine on my screen, and the audio was decent, and in sync with the video. FTF lost the race to release resident evil, and instead of accepting it, they chose to release an inferior rip with a 'proper' tag stuck on it to justify themselves. lame

nice job FTF with a good rls but after watching both i still prefer CTP's. Its not because of the group - i think the picture is slightly better, yet they are close and I didnt hear anything wrong with the sound.

I take no here really watch either release... CTP is way better.. Sorry peeps you can judge a release by jpegs and sample.. Also i would like to add that my Pioneer plays ever format as the apex.. it even plays unstandard vcd's, xvcd's & svcd's..

They're both TS's, not TC's, and both releases are highly watchable.
nj FTF (keep improving) & CTP (release more).

My Apex 3201 plays all compliant and non-compliant vcd's, xvcd, scvd's, perfectly. I can ff/rw in everything. If multiple audio tracks are present, I can switch on the fly. No sync problems. No stretch problems. The only thing I have not gotten to play are two XSVCD's that I couldn't play in WinDVD 3.1 either. (PowerDVD XP played them barely)

A buddy bought the Pioneer and returned it because it didn't play everything. He bought an Apex 1600 and a 3301 (3-disc) and they both play everything prefectly.

The only complaint about the APEX is that the remote has to be pointed directly at it.

Lightbulb CTP is better

I'm not affiliated with any release group. I'm just a guy who leeches VCDs. Therefore my opinion is not biased . I've downloaded BOTH releases (Centropy and FTF), I've viewed a 5 minute clip of both (not the sample that comes with the release), and all the people in my room at the time (about 5 guys) agree that the Centropy release is better.

The FTF release is much darker, and is widescreen. The picture on the Centropy release is much better. I've noticed some say the FTF release has better sound, but we found that the sound was just louder, not neccesairly better. It's hard to explain, it's like a loud buzzing noise in the background at all times.

Anyway, if you've already downloaded the FTF there's probably no reason to delete it and download the Centropy. But if you're still choosing between the two, I'd get the Centropy. Seeing as how the Centropy was released before the FTF, I'd see expect to see the FTF nuked on sites.
