At first I thought there were audio sync problems, but then I realized that it was just the standard lips-not-matching-up-with-speech problem that characterizes all anime.

Anyhow, I haven't watched much anime in a while, and I was actually a bit shocked at how graphic the whole thing was. Probably shouldn't have watched it during dinner.

But overall, 9/8/7. Some of the segments were good, some were useless. It was good to have the back story played out on screen, though. Definitely worth watching!

Unlike many other anime movies, the Animatrix was originally scripted and dubbed in English, so it really is out of sync.

In addition to what B16A2 said above about it not being in English ...

(1) I've seen lots of English cartoons where the lips don't match up with the words and yet the audio is in sync.

(2) If I say something is in sync, it means that I've watched the whole thing and confirmed that slapping sounds are happening when people's hands are hitting things, gunshots are heard as the gun fires, etc., etc. And that is certainly the case with this release.

I also watched the complete release and I didn't see any sync problems but hey, everyone's configuration/hardware is different so I can't speak for others. But as for mine it worked fine and complilation was cool

First of all, respect to TCF for this great release.

Regarding the Audio Sync problem, I compared the official release of "Second Renaissance Part I" (teaser), with the one on TCF's Dvdrip release. I found that there are some sync issues, if you fokus on the scene, when "a hand smashes a fly".

I notice, that the official version from the website, is in sync. But that TCF's release is a bit off sync.

Otherwise, great release. RESPECT

You're wrong. The Wachowski brothers wrote the scripts, and they speak english, not Japanese.

They posted the Japanese dub because they have a Japanese matrix website. http://www.intothematrix.com/

If you download the same episode from thematrix.com, you'll see that the the voices match the animation, it's not out of sync. Only TCF's svcd has voices out of sync.

5 of 9 were written by The Wachowski brothers but ALL were created by Japanese animators (and I'm willing to bet they ALL didn't speak english).

why compare the website version? how does that prove the original DVD is in sync? it doesn't. the only comparisons to make are the DVL, the BooZeRs or the original DVD, NOT the website version.

Seeker of Serenity

Audio's out of sync

I have the DVL version, and I can confirm that the audio starts off being in sync and goes out of sync later.

The audio precedes the video (some scenes you hear an explosion b4 seeing it).

Other than that, it's an excellent release. Props to TCF and DVL for bringing us a perfect rip

10/7/9

Hrm, has anyone else other than me noticed how grainy both TCF's and DVL's rips are? If you compare the video of the rips to the video of the official Quicktime releases, you'll notice that the official releases are much cleaner. As for the audio, yeah, both releases are slightly out of sync, but nothing so significant as to severely detract from the overall experience. The graininess of the video was much more bothersome for me =/

The renaissance 1 on Quicktime is worse sync then the SVCD release. Check the fly snap part, the hands hit first then the sound comes much later (the Quicktime one).

fixing the sync issue...

if you want to fix the sync problems, just de-mux, add .25 seconds of silence to the first cd between the end of the first and beginning of the second shorts, and re-mux. cd2 is in sync. case closed.

new cue sheet

has anybody bothered to make a fixed cue sheet for cd2? you need to have chapters with every... well chapter. the first cd was well done but i feel through the different bin names
cd1=tcf-animtx1.bin
cd2=tcf-tamb.bin

they were done by different people. that might explain why it seems much more effort was put into cd1 versus cd2.
i guess if there isnt a fixed cue sheet for cd2 i could make one.
but i was just wondering if this has been addressed yet.
