News:
Mel Gibson's Passion film has grossed more than the next 50 films combined collected on the same day. 50 First Dates, which was the second highest grossing film on Wednesday, earned only $1 million.
Though Gibson is an Oscar-winning director and has immense worldwide popularity, the Jewish Hollywood studios refused to release or finance his film, forcing Gibson to finance it himself to the tune of $25 million. Now, the film is expected to gross $50 million and become profitable in just two weeks.
"With all the publicity, Mel Gibson is laughing all the way to the bank," Rosenberg muttered after seeing the film. "Theaters are going to be packed, and his pockets will be lined."

Reason being for the high gross,,,,churches are busing in their entire congregations; and secular schoolchildren are being taken during school or having this movie has required homework.
Plus,,,,as no one has mentioned or noticed,,,,,,the release date of the movie was on Ash Wednesday,,,the beginning of Lent,,,,,no accident.
Already the craziness begins: some guy here is claiming *god* has taken his hands to make jewelry made to look like cruxcifiction nails. You can get earrings, necklaces, the works.
The crap is selling like hotcakes.
I guess god is now a Wall Street and Flea Market commodity.
Gotta love capitalist America.
