i know this is a bit late now, but i forgot to post when i got the movie.

if i read this thread as i was watching the movie as soon as i'd got it, i'd have posted and say you were all stupid, or that i was confused, cos i found nothing wrong with the DVDR... I was tired, fallin asleep thru the movie (was 1am'ish), and it was in english (watched on my PC, straight after downloading it). tried to finish watching it the next day and got chinese audio... was just a bit confused (figured i could just understand chinese when i'm really tired... ha).
figured out how i managed to get it in english, in WinDVD, right click the display (or find this in the menu's somewhere...), go to "Source"-->"DVD from Folder...", now if you have the DVD image mounted, select the VIDEO_TS folder on the dvd, and when it loads you'll have the english audio either play straight away, or it'll be there in the audio menu for you to select. Subtitles you can either remove, or add, whichever you wanna select...
The menu's there, its just makin it the default menu that's a pain

found a easier way use dvd shrink and just rip the chinese out took all of 30 mins
