Dude, if nero doesn't let you choose dvd, then you havent got a DVD burner. Try downloading drivers for your drive, is it a dell own make or another make?.... post the model here & if you cant find em, i will.

If that doesnt work, ring dell, he will sort it out for you

Nero uses it's own drivers to burn, so it wouldn't recognise the burner until you updated Nero.
