And NO, Motorola RAZR's are not the best phone in the world... it's more like the worst phone ever.
Well.. can't say it's the worst cell. in the world ever Design-wise it's great, altho that ofcourse heavily depends on your personal taste.
My brother hated it so much that he gave it to me after 1 week of use. Loved the intended design instantly. Still do even.
After not getting any workable amount of RAM out of it after tweaking it heavily and using every trick in the book, I'll have to admit tho, that the phone sucks the donkey's ass if you use it for ANYTHING besides just making calls with it.
Extensive sms-ing will piss you off the moment you notice how few sms-messages it actually can store (received+sent), and even trying to actually read the display in daylight when it's a bit sunny will make you look like a blind bat. Pretty much having to know all stored phonenumbers by heart, in case the sun shines, isn't exactly userfriendly, but beats trying to look a number up in the phonebook, and hope you actually dial the person you want to speak, the moment you opt for trial&error based on approximate vicinity alphabet-wise in the phonebook.
In fact.. altho prolly not done in this thread (@mods: and I'll never do it again!), it gives me the opportunity to at least rate something, since the movie wasn't worthy enough imo :
ID - 9
PD - 1
EDU - 1
(ID = intended design / PD = practical design / EDU = every day usability)
And still, altho REALLY close in my book, it's not the worst cell. ever. If you have ever had an early Philips model, you'd know why. Philips had the decency to dissapear from the mobile phone-market completely with their own brand after a few true disaster-models. I don't wish the same to happen to Motorola because they have models that really are outstanding, but they clearly didn't test the RAZR at all - it's impossible to not notice it's "shortcommings".
Like this release (whooo! an opening to return to the actual release/subject this thread is dedicated to!!!). If the person/group releasing it would have actually watched their product, they would have seen as well that release-wise they created the RAZR amongst all encodes/releases. Bad bad bad bad bad.. yet not worst one I EVER saw - or is that just the positive side to myself, just thinking there has been stuff that has to have been worse than this - for all I care it should be in the top 10 worst releases ever on VCDQ.
Only option for this to not be a complete waste of my download and my time is to see a MST3K movie being made based on this.
MST3K - the VCDQ saga.
