It isn't about anything in particular, it's just extended versions of existing sequences. Apart from the longer book signing sequence mentioned above I think there is more background to Silas' story which makes his character seem more sympathetic. The theological discussions are a bit longer and more involved. There's an interogation scene towards the end which isn't strictly necessary and the movie doesn't suffer much by its removal. Overall the extended version is less disjointed and the time seems to pass more quickly.

Does anybody have English subtitles for this release for just the french and latin portions of the film? I found English subs, but they're for the entire film.

I believe they're in an image format which requires the index files which not every player can read.

i can use the subs that came with the release.. but i want the english subs for just the parts of the movie that aren't in english. has anyone found these? i've looked everwhere and have had no luck.

Odd, the Flaite release I got came with no subs. Just cd1,2,sample. That's it. Any ideas where I can snag the subs for this release only? Thanks!
