Watermarks or B&W Scenes

Can anyone post whether or not there are any watermark crawlers or B&W scenes?

Apocalypto

Ther are no watermarks or B&W screens in this. Just a slight pixalation at about 1:36: and change otherwise perfect quality. No audio sync problems with pixalation.

The Glitches happen for more than 10 secs, and they occur twice.

It lasts for about 1 min at the very end and is a bit offputting so im only giving the video a 7

7/9/8

The glitches definately don't last for a minute, more like a few seconds each. The glitches don't occur in a crucial part of the film and don't send the audio out of sync.

Great release TGP, keep them coming. Nobody cares about a couple of glitches, if the quality is this good.

9 - (Couldnt give it a perfect because of the glitches)
10 - (Perfect)
8 - Original. Mel Gibson has some good ideas.

Did some of the chase scenes in the film remind anyone else of Rambo first blood? lol

Well if wally is real, it might be a watermark put on by the s-view player, if that is how the screener got recorded, and by the way there are watermarks on the release, blurred lines at top and bottom of screen every so often.

I just got done watching this & wow, what a great movie!!
The glitches mentioned do not in any way spoil the movie. Sure, clean copies are nicer, but i'll certainly keep this one until retail even if a 'proper' comes out (Not worth it imo for a few secs of the movie to d/l another version).

Overall, very enjoyable, great sound, beautifully filmed & the transfer to DVD still looks great (apart from the couple of seconds glitch),

V 8 (only 'cos of the glityches)
A 10 - Gotta love 5.1
M 10 - AMAZING MOVIE!

JM

p.s.
To the many people I noticed chatting about this on some IRC chans about how it's not worth watching as it's not in
English, pls do watch this movie & don't diss it just 'cos it's not in English!!

The Where's Wally frames are definately a subliminal advertising ploy. You dont see them because they appear and dissapear so quickly but the subconcious mind spots it. I read on a forum elswhere that while watching the film, some people were reminded of Where's Wally, then i spotted this thread and now know why!. With the film due out, great to have it stuck in peoples minds.................................

Get's 9.5 due to some pixelation at a critical action scene

Can i give 11 for the movie ??

Have now watched this 3 nights on the trot. Some of the tracking shots are awesome. If this does not win an Oscar then i'm moving to France to grow onions

The One, The Only

I could rant about this piece of shit film all day, but I won't.

For the release:

V=8 (some pixelation and a small glitch)
A=9 sounded great on the TV
M=2 Long, boring, political statement. Ended just as it should have been getting started. The entire film should have been 45 minutes, tops.

The only real problem is the small section where the glitches happens and a few scenes full of action running through the forest where pixellation goes very bad - far too busy a scene for the encoding - but it is over two hours long.

Still, a standard story and not too clever a script, but different from most other offerings. V-8, A-9, M-8

This movie is very similar to The Naked Prey with Cornel Wilde. It took place in Africa. Whatever you think of Mel Gibson..he makes a hellova good movie.
