Been playing it for the last few days and while its absolutely stunning to look at, I still seem to get bored easily with the GTA games, and this is no different.

I do find myself going back to it when bored though, but only ever spending about half an hour on it in any one sitting.

To be fair, I've only completed just over 10% of it and only explored a tiny fraction of the city, but so far the missions seem a little samey samey.

The television is a fucking hoot though

iv always felt the gta's to be a lil repetative

but i usually do about 3 missions then jus fuck around for hours

im goin straight to multiplayer when i get it

I have to say I'm really impressed.

The attention to detail is great, as is the scripting of the characters.

The graphics are a real improvement on previous versions and really give the feel of being in a living city.

Some of the sub-games are pretty good too, erring a little towards Shenmue in that respect.

The radio stations are pretty good, but to me, weaker than previous versions musically (although that's personal taste)

On the downside however, I have visited a lap dancing venue, paid a considerable sum, and the bird still didn't get her jabs out.

However Ive only completed 15% so far so am remaining optimistic

Went on Live by mistake (forgot to unplug ethernet).

Strangely not banned, although i feel less masculine due to the high pitched squeal i let out when i realised it was connected.

Apparently there are three in the game, with one available from the start, called the Triangle Club.

If you switch on your map screen, it's in the smallest "island" in the top right corner in the eastern half.

I was just fucking about in a boat, didn't realise i had gained a six star wanted level and completely without knowing it, gained the achievement for evading police for 5 minutes.

Pick mine up in the morning, Had no problem getting
the preorder 2 days before release.

I went to a few shops to see if they would break the release date.
Tried all my charm, with no joy

Same story every time,
"its not out yet"
"we cant sell it yet"
"we are totally sold out, No more Preorders"


So the last shop i tried was a small indy, Guaranteed to be sold out
surly they arnt getting a lot of stock?

But it looks like RockStar are looking after the small indys coz the
woman there said,
"yer sure we got some preorders left"

"are you sure" i said, "you guarantee i can come Tuesday and collect it"
giving my best Spock raised eyebrow, but with a Bolo Menacing twist.

"yes, not a problem" she said


So i lay down 48 beer tokens and she put my name in the book, PAID IN FULL

This game was to huge for Rockstar not to supply enuff for the demand. THey were never going to sell out anywhere.
