Sure you're bypassing traffic shaping algorithms by the isp but at the same time you're paying for a proxy that 1) links your finanical data to torrent downloading and 2) relies on the proxy's connection to insure the good 'speed' they are promising. Although I'm sure it works fine to bypass traffic shaping, I'd rather not do that.
