what a joke

Buy a new player then!Buy a new player then! Thats all I keep hearing from ctp ball lickers. Its not a big thing to spend 60.00 ,thats not the point, fools! Majority of peoples players dont except svcd, not everybody is going out today to buy one. That takes time, not money! Now is the time to support these groups to produce for the majority and not you selfish pigs. So talking about not being cheap, you svcd guys should get a life! Your the cheap fools for spending money on all your p.c upgrades and spending hours on end downloading! So if you want the most out of a free movie--go spend the $7 on the flick, you cheap f--ks! what a life you people have. What a joke! LOL P.S for all those rice burning dvd players, BUY AMERICAN!

pjeer?

Just watched the film (watch a film within a week of burning it ? unheard of !) and hey it was pretty good fun ! enjoyed that.

As for the whole SVCD debate, well.. ya should've checked before you purchased. the mass majority of players support both SVCD and VCD. SVCD is a standard as much as VCD is, its your brands choice to deny you that format.

Before i bought either of my players i made sure they supported as many standards as possible. Think before you buy :P

Unhappy

Seriously, this movie is pure C.R.A.P. It's just as shitty as all the rest of those teen comedies

Wow, very nice release.. and I also won't be afraid of this whole SVCD / VCD debate. I see it as pure evolution and I hope it continues. In a year or so, I predict that release groups will release in divX or a similar format, since it appears we will see players supporting divx/mpeg4 in the not-so-distant future. DON'T FEAR CHANGE.

Hmm well u get groups releasing TS/Scr stuff in DivX as it is (as well as the SMR shit) but i wouldn't be too confident on mpeg4/divx players.

Its a VERY volatile codec, and its not a standard. SVCD/VCD stick to certain rules, every week theres a new way of encoding DivX, wether it be OGG Vorbis / AC3 / SBC etc, it changes a LOT. divx3.11 wont play back divx4, divx4 wont playback divx5, so what happens when divx6 comes out and you have a divx5 player? flash upgrades? so do we need a harddisk onboard as well? well, a faster processor is required to decode an MPEG4 stream anyway, due to the high compression, and after you add all that together, that aint a player, thats another computer.

DivX is a basically a hack, nothing "official" is released in it. Most movie houses still release trailers in QT, and we dont see any QT compatable players, so im pretty doubtful that a divx compatable player will ever reach consumer level, and if it does, the codec REALLY has to settle down. but DivX.com sold their asses out, so i can't see that happening.

Never give up hope, but dont be too optimistic. And yeah, i know players are in "development", but they been in development fora long time now, and none of them ever saw daylight.
