since everyone else is i guess ill throw some spam in this tread to.. i respect any group who takes time to give something to the "community" i dont care if what they rls is crap.. thats what this site is all about just checkin out the quality before you download it.. there is really no reason for such lame comments like "If this is better than the other releases, I am gonna DIE laughing." and the bullshit first reply to the thread by 'bts' .. how lame can you be.. the purpose of the forum is to "comment" on a specific rls (good audio, bad audio, good picture, bad picture) not to bash a group with negitive comments from past rls's .. i mean i dunno about anyone else but i come here to check out the quality and am sick of hearin' the same old shit over and over agian.. your replys are a fucking waste of bandwidth.. ah anyway im not startin anything here just bored and figured i would throw up a reply..

later,
Tito

c4??o the board... registration wise anyways.. been following it for months now .. figured I'd finally join to add my own $0.02.

Viewed the sample for this release a little bit ago and have to say I'm not too impressed... it looks like another re-encode (like a few others have already said). Compared it to the TEG sample and they appear to have the same camera angle goin on.. so I would assume it's coming from the same source. FTF looks like they just cropped the subs like vigilante did and boosted the brightness.. ya can tell they boosted it cuz the black borders are no longer black.. I'm willing to bet if ya took a sample of the TEG from the same part of the movie FTF took their's from.. it would be very similar with the exception of the subs cropped and the brightness levels boosted.

Would definately wait for a release worthy of bein SVCD...

Let the flaming begin...

Thought I'd add my comment for once:

While I havn't downed a sample yet, I'd figure I'd add a suggestion; if the video on the Teg is better, and the sound on this is better, why not take it into your own hands and mix the two? It's not that hard, vcdhelp gives you all the instructions you need, and since there a bunch of friends and family that want me to let them see it, I figure I'll give them the best quality possible.

I thought the video on the Teg was awesome (I got rid of the subtitles and fixed the contrast myself), but the audio became very annoying.

Just a suggestion.

Ok, you stupid fucks....half of you haven't even looked at this release, so here is the real review. The video is mediocre, not up to par with TEG-VCD's release, but still watchable, as a matter of fact, very watchable. The audio is fine, there are NO noticble glitches in the audio, unlike the other release and its 2 re-encodes. This is the best release out there so far, and just because it is released by FTF doesn't mean it calls for a flame-fest. So, please quit your FTF bashing, they might have put out some shit releases before, but it does not mean that everyone of their releases are infact, shit.

strange, the ever so loved CTP never gave a reason for their SVCD dupes, yet they were praised for doing svcd. i am no ftf lover, and though half, if not all the posters here have not yet seen the quality of the release and have already unfairly judged the quality i will say, that it seems to be an ever so growing number of releases that are coming out with 4 or 5 versions for the consumer, each group claiming more quality then the next in an attempt to win the hearts of all those p2p file sharers, kinda pathetic, but whatever if it makes the releasing group happy....in my opinion it just fucks up the entire vcd genre and sets it to just a bunch of movies that people dont care if their copy is a dupe or not, just that it will be the best hands down and they will take that notion to the grave, oh well, those are my two cents...for anyone who wanted to make change

Well pplz.. i think ftf thinks they got what it takes to take out svcd rls... in my own option i think teg's rls is better than this svcd rls... i think ftf should stick better to vcd until they get a better cam.. or encoding card.. hehe... i think my panasonic dv-dr2000u takes better quality than that.. and that's after encoding it with windows movie maker (wmv) converting it to avi and then mpeg-1... hehe

FTF, if they got a digital camera then they`d be producing some good stuff.

But why bother with an SVCD that doesnt surpass whats already been released on VCD?

Chief Phil Ossoffer

Good to see a bunch of REAL members here calling the FTF-bashers (like "bts" and "MilesHigh") out for what they are: pre-judging lamers who are hurting the scene.

Nonetheless, cd2 has flaws of its own: a shake to the video that is as fatal as the audio gaps are on the other versions. Pick your poison, folks.

Props to FTF for their decision to use SVCD- and props to the members of this forum. One of these days, everything will come together.

shittiest release ever, unless u can do a GOOD svcd all u r doing is making the bin files larger. This quality sucks. Who would want to waist cd's on this...it's just a TS, I'm not waisting cd's on this...CD-RW's are for ts's CD-R's for DVD SVCD's. Well you guys don't need an explanation, just to know that it super sucks.

Theoretically you could, but one video burp on either release and you're out of sync. Only a madman would try it.
