So it might not be saosins best release...but maybe they had problems with getting a good source for this movie? It did seem to take them longer to release it than it normally takes them to release movies. And considering the quality of the other two releases of the movie, at least this is watchable. When they've been doing such great releases lately is it really fair to begrudge them one difficult release? I bet you'd all change ur tune if they decided not to release anything else because of all the bitching! Thanks Saosin... some people appreciate the effort you guys make...keep up the good work

Lets be fucking serious here......

With all due respect to Saosin, this release is not a 9 or 10 in ANY way.....remember: this is a TC.......

Video is off.....not by too much, but Saosin has set the bar so damn high for themselves that I suppose the problem is that it's not even as good as their usual TS's (which have been fucking brilliant).......but it's still worth an 8 as a TC.
(most of the problems people are having with any dark scenes are probably due to the blinding sunlight found in the bright scenes......you know.....cuz it takes place in the desert)

Audio is rough to listen to......very hollow.....I understand the "fishbowl" comment and have to agree......but it still gets a 7 for audio as it could be much worse & everything is heard clearly.....

All that being said, this is Saosin's first shot at a TC (at least that i'm aware of) and I can only say good things about it as a first attempt.....for what it's worth as a total leech (i know.....it ain't worth shit.....but still) I thank Saosin for all their recent work, and even want to thank them in advance for everything they've yet to put out. It's hard work and NOBODY has to do it.

PS- This is definitely the one to get....prob for a while....

people must of enjoyed POTS 10 mins missing and STN poor quality cause they dont seem to be happy with this realese.Fuck whoever is dissing SAOSIN cause of yall we might end up with nothing next coming movies, just be thankful.

I don't know why so many people are complaining about this release. The colors are fairly typical of a TC and yeah there are black bars but I don't really see that as a reason to complain. Audio isn't DTS but considering the previous releases this is a god send.

9/9/8 man this movie was great! Just finish watching and way better than my expectations..

come on,recently SAOSiN has leading the pak..sure as a tc it falls below what you would expect,but this is still a very nice rls to watch..my son absotively loved the movie,but he's not voting

I don't understand most people on this board...These groups go out of their way to bring us these movies...Saosin has been bringing us great releases, and this is another one...The sound is alittle hollow, but the video is great. I don't see the black bars everyone is speaking about...It's full wide screen when played on my DVP642...Enjoy the movie and stop complaining over complete BS....

Middle of disc two currently, so good idea of how to judge the rest of video/audio quality, give the video an 8, no real orange tint to me, could be my color setup for the tv currently, who knows. I give the sound a 7.5 ... maybe 8 but it's a bit hollow and crackles here and there, nothing major though, like others have said, most watchable release to date, thanks again saosin.

very watchable considering how early it is and compared to the poor TS's out there, however generally worse than average when rated against telecines

In addition to the repeated comments about pixelation and color, it is also definitely not in perfect AR - likely this was the source and not the encode, and is no means unwatchable or severe - it's not for example a 16:9 source at 4:3 or anything of the sort -- but if you look carefully at actor's faces that you are familiar with they are all obviously a bit too thin. So slightly bad AR.

Based on normal telecines:

I watched this on the big screen tonight - video was good
and so was the audio. I don't know what yer all crying about.
Probably the same meatballs who vote 9's for POT cams.
SAOSIN is one of the best groups out there right now.

I think yes!! this is a quality rls from SAOSIN not quite their usual but a fanny's hair off!! Much better than anything any1 else has done you should vote compared with everyones efforts not just this group or you'll end up with crap rls's gettin good reviews just because its better than the last crap they did!!!!! think about what your saying people or you could look very stupid!!!!!

Rated by sample only. Video out to TV and audio out to 6.1 surround. The video looks good, a little hue problem. The audio is missing considerable bass even with woofers cranked up all the way. Still a good release!
